Cataract & Refractive surgery

Cataract & Refractive surgery

In the case of cataract and refractive surgery, the patient’s journey starts with a thorough pre-operative process. First, they undergo a cardiologist’s assessment to determine the appropriate level of anesthesia and sedation, a step that may take up to an hour and includes checking blood sugar levels and performing an electrocardiogram. Next, we conduct a final astigmatism assessment before guiding the patient through the corridor to the operating room. Once there, the surgeon explains the procedure, reassures the patient, and then begins the surgery, which typically lasts only about five to eight minutes. The entire procedure is recorded, and we take pride in our team’s dedication and teamwork, both surgical and technical, to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
